Karoline Wileczek?s strong academic background belies the carefree, whimsical, almost childlike nature of her works. Her pen and ink pieces are full of energy, unstructured form and intriguing compositions. In describing her works, Wileczek reveals that she works in series which gives her a chance to explore ideas of interest using a variety of media and methods. Her current series explores the use of pen and ink in evoking emotions. Wileczek has an MFA in Painting from the University of Minnesota and a BFA from the Tyler School of Art. Her work has been shown in Minneapolis Institute of Art, The Soap Factory in Minneapolis, Delaware Center for the Arts, and held in private collections across the country. She was a Delaware Division of the Artist Individual Fellowship Winner in Works on Paper for 2002 and 2015. This exhibit is the required exhibit for the fellowship.
