DEXSTA Federal Credit Union Hosts Successful Shred Event at Elkton Branch

ELKTON, MD — October 3rd, 2026 — DEXSTA Federal Credit Union held its first shred event at our Elkton, MD branch! DEXSTA provided a secure on-site shredding service and credit union members were able to shred up to three boxes of their personal documents while also checking out our newest branch location in Elkton. Soft pretzels from Philly Pretzel Factory were distributed as well as some DEXSTA merchandise. Staff members gathered early Saturday morning into the afternoon to help assist members with disposing of their materials whilst also building meaningful connections within the community. DEXSTA is always proud to bring together our members especially in the name of security. Properly shredding sensitive documents provides an added layer of security to prevent potential identity theft/fraud. Many members shared their appreciation for the shredding event opportunity, noting the added peace of mind in safeguarding their information.
Guests also participated in spinning the popular prize wheel, adding a fun and engaging element to the event. Members were able to pick up some exclusive DEXSTA merchandise and chat about what services our Elkton, MD location has to offer. DEXSTA Federal Credit Union will host its next shred event on Saturday, April 17th, 2027 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at its Prices Corner branch.
