DESCRIPTION:We're thrilled to share that Christ the Teacher Catholic School is hosting its first-ever Checkmate Challenge Chess Tournament on November 1\, 2025\, at 10:00 AM\, right here on our campus!\n\nIn partnership with Chess Champs\, this unique tournament is open to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade from both public and private schools across the region. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nDivisions: Kindergarten - 1st Grade\; 2nd - 4th Grade\; 5th - 8th Grade\; \n\n\n\n9th - 12th Grade\n\n\n\nFormat: Swiss System\; each player will get 15 minutes to play with each round lasting for 30 minutes\; players guaranteed 5 \n\n\n\nrounds of play\n\n\n\nRegistration: $25 Early Bird! Register before October 15th! $30 after October 15th\; Day of registration $45\n\n\n\nTrophies and medals awarded to the winners.\n\n\n\nFood available for purchase.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSponsorship opportunities available!
