UFO Investivations, Alien Abductions, and MUFON

Michael will provide an overview of the MUFON organization, discuss the history of the UFO phenomena and the credibility of the research behind the stories, explain how an investigation is performed, and tell you about his own fascinating personal experiences with this subject matter. BIO of Michael Melton:

Michael had a relatively normal life up until he was 7 years old. That year, he experienced his first UFO sighting, which can be found documented in Author/Experiencer Kim Carlsberg’s book, “The Art of Close Encounters.” From then, it was an obsession with UFOs, and all things alien. His interest grew in 1987 with the release of Whitley Strieber’s book "Communion." Moving to New Mexico in 1989 with his wife, Susan who was in the Air Force, they settled in at Cannon Air Force Base. While in New Mexico, Michael took the opportunity to visit Roswell, meet a few exotic air force colonels that swore the phenomenon of UFOs were real.

In 2003 he joined MUFON as a subscriber. In 2008, Michael became a field investigator, and then a State Section Director for the Philadelphia area and the surrounding counties. In 2012 he became the Chief Investigator for the State of Delaware.

Michael’s latest venture is becoming an affiliate of Audrey Hewins’ “Starborn Support,” which Michael is calling “Starborn Support of Southeastern and Southwestern Pennsylvania,” which is a support program for alien abductees and their families, in an effort to promote education and understanding for abductees and their families as well as bringing awareness to the general public.

Michael holds a Master of Science degree in Group Process from Drexel (Hahnemann) University, A Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology, and a Doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

In September of 2013, Michael will be speaking at the “Experiencers Speak Conference” in Portland, Maine.
