At ALR, we specialize in the design and building of Native Plant gardens and Naturalistic landscapes. We study and incorporate in our designs native plants of Delaware and the Mid-Atlantic. We are active members of the Delaware Nursery & Landscape Association (DNLA) and have 1 Certified Nursery Professional (CNP) on staff. We won the DNLA 2024 Landscape Award, Small Residential category.
We are a small family and veteran owned business based in Middletown, est.2023. We have a commercial sod cutter and dump trailer ready to carve out new garden beds or renovate outdated landscapes to build ecological havens for our local wildlife. When we are not working for ALR or raising our 2 young boys, we take classes at Mt. Cuba Center to sharpen our skills as ecological gardeners, participate at industry events, and volunteer at garden programs (UDBG and we have recently joined the Middletown-Odessa Garden Club).
We believe we can make a physical impact on our local ecosystem through our services to the Middletown community. We can help design and build functional, sustainable, and layered Native Plant gardens. As the saying goes “If you build it, they will come”. As a business, we implement and help our customers learn about Delaware Naturally “Activities with a Purpose”.

Need help getting started in Native Plants? Have limited growing space? No garden is too small; ALR offers Native Plant Containers for small spaces with big impact.
*(1) Free UD Soil Sample Test for the designated garden area*
*ALR will create a Landscape Planting Plan after the Site Visit* design cost starts at $250 and this cost can be applied to the associated Landscape Project*
*Upon completion of a Landscape Project ALR will provide a detailed Landscape Management Plan*
