Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenter Helper to join our team at Brobst Home Improvements. In this role, you will work closely with skilled carpenters to support various construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning and removing debris, and organizing tools and materials.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Follow blueprints and building plans to meet project specifications accurately.
- Load and unload materials, and transport them to work areas as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.
- Support the overall team by performing other related tasks as assigned by lead carpenters.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Experience in residential or commercial construction.
- Willingness to learn and develop carpentry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Previous experience in construction or carpentry preferred but not mandatory.
